Broken Family

How do you heal a family that's been broken for years?

Can it even be done?

And even if you can, how long would it take before it falls apart again?

After all it's not like you could make the past disappear.

All that pain and sadness won’t vanish.

All those memories will still be there. 

The tears that you've shed will continue to fall.

All the agony, all the fights that have happened has indeed been burned into the past.

Every single scar will still be there, forever on your skin.

Maybe there is a way to make a family look whole again.

But I don't think a broken family could ever be put back together.

FFA

I am a proud member of the FFA!!!  I mean after all FFA is one of my passions, it's fun, the people in my chapter are great, and my adviser is one of the best that I know.  There are many things that you can do in FFA as well.  From CDE's to going to work at the state fair, I mean come on the possibilities are endless.  There's also the advantage of getting out of school to go and do activities for the FFA.  So yeah usually FFA keeps me busy, but hey that's one of the many things that I love to do.

Do you know the elements?

Yes the elements, the ones on the Periodic table.

Can you say them all by name?

Do you know what its atomic mass is?

Could you tell me how many protons, neutrons, and electrons there are in this certain element?

Can you write all their symbols?

Could you give me the atomic number for this random element?

Me? I could tell you some of the answers, but not all, that’s for sure.

There's hydrogen, sodium, calcium, copper, silver, oxygen, and mercury.

The atom mass of hydrogen is rounded up to 1, gold is rounded up to 196, and carbon is rounded up to 12.

There are 3 protons, 4 neutrons, and 3 electrons in lithium. 

There are 5 protons, 4 neutrons, and 5 electrons in boron.

There are 30 protons, 35 neutrons, and 30 electrons in zinc.

Si is the symbol of silicon. 

He is the symbol of helium.

Al is the symbol of aluminum.

S is the symbol of sulfur.

The atomic numbers of hydrogen, helium, oxygen, calcium, nickel, copper, iodine, and gold are 1, 2, 8, 20, 28, 29, 53, and 79.

So there you have it folks I don't know all the answers and won't ever be able to memorize them ever.

Chemistry's tough and seems insane when it comes to the periodic table. Memorize this, this, and this says the teacher, and you’re like no, no, no that’s too much to memorize.  And yet you still try and fail, try and succeeded.  Maybe its safe to say that chemistry will definitely push you to the limits of just trying to remember everything that you are taught, and it will be a challenge to keep your grades up at a decent level as well.
